This year, (2015) I decided [again!] that I have to do things differently in my life – this is the single “new year’s resolution” that I make every other year :). I feel crippled when a couple of months into the year I realize that I have not done enough to make the changes I set out for. So then I repeat to myself that change is everything. This is my life motto.

One of the things I’ve set out to do is to be less afraid. Of course, not of the dark or the scary things on TV. Sometimes I’m afraid of not being good enough at the things I want to do. There is a voice in my head saying “You probably should not do that. Just leave it alone.” Now feels like the perfect time to silence the voice. It dawned on me that we don’t need validation from anybody or even from ourselves to do the things that we love.

I often reflect on this quote by Mark Twain that says “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Can I get an Amen?

Every time I look through a journal I had a few years ago, the feeling is nostalgic! When I shake it off I get the happiness and satisfaction of reminisce. However, this journal and the experiences I wrote within it are read by just me – I am changing that. I want my senses to come alive and to share them with people behind their computers and smartphones.

This is what I want to do – to be a developer, to write, to capture the moments before me with a flash of a camera and to dare call myself these things! My journey begins with this website , a medium I have chosen to share my journey of exploration, dreaming, and discovery.

I am going to document my life and experiences, write about the things that capture me, and share my discoveries. With that said, or written, Hello world!

  1. Hey, you always took bold steps so comfortably, I always took it that you’re actually more cautious than afraid.. *wink..

I’m sure you’re just so busy being yourself that you don’t get to realize how utterly impressive you get. But take it from someone who’s watching and taking notes. The art here. Is. Awesome!

  2. Congratulations for finally defeating your “demons”. However, am not fully buying the idea that this time CHANGE has finally come. How many years have you been setting this resolution and failed to hit it? 😀

Anyway, since we have see some progress, I guess this you’ll register some qualitative and quantitative outputs.

Oh wait! Are you not going to throw a launch party for the website? Like some pyro and cake?

  4. I know this comment has been long overdue, but I must say that this is a very beautifully designed website – very clean and modern :)
To leave you with a quote.. “Keep your face always toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you.”
